Ghana safety net ITS project (Phase II)
SOURCE: UPDATED: 2022-12-23

The Ghana safety net ITS project (Phase II) is part of the Ghana safe city project invested by the Government of Ghana. Our main task is to expand the smart checkpoint system based on the phase I project to all major cities and border ports in the country. This project adopts our advanced automatic license-plate recognition platform and recognition algorithms to manage local and foreign motor vehicles within Ghana. Currently, 50 types of license plates can be recognized, with a recognition rate exceeding 95%. This project has not only effectively checked violations such as speeding and driving the wrong way, but also has reduced the accident rate of motor vehicles. It provides clues and evidence for local public security organs to crack down on criminal offenses and uncover various cases, thus effectively deterring criminal behaviors. The Ghanaian traffic police department also refers to the traffic flow data of different intersections and time periods in the system as an effective basis for traffic command and signal timing.

Our outstanding quality and compliance with specifications, as well as the advanced, sophisticated and customizable intelligent traffic solutions have been unanimously recognized by the Ghanaian clients. Located in West Africa, Ghana is a stable and orderly country, and is one of the countries with the best economy in the region. The success of the Ghana project has promoted our business expansion in the market of West Africa, and has a far-reaching impact on the development of Ghana's transport.
